On October 12th, 2009, a fire destroyed our main block containing 2 classrooms, a staffroom, the toilet facilities and our resource room. The fire was due to an electrical malfunction in the power board - maybe as a result of a power surge.
As a result of the fire and roll growth, the Ministry of Education has allocated us a budget to rebuild what we had plus another 239 square metres. Essentially we are building a new school.
In February, 2010, the Board of Trustees appointed a project manager (school support) and an architect (Phoenix Architects).
